Most of the time, we use a professional architect or interior designer when we build or renovate a house. We get them because we expect them to know the standards but most of the time, they fail to know their customer, you. Knowing Your Customer (KYC) is important when designing spaces because they are the ones who will use them on a daily basis. Kitchen layout is one of the spaces the importance you should not discount. Even if you have the topnotch brands of appliances and fantastic aesthetics, if the layout does not suit you, your kitchen will just be a frustration that you will see everyday.

Your kitchen has to function at its best possible capacity and so you have to consider these features: area, flow and mobility. If you are consulting with an architect or a modular cabinet maker, they should be asking questions to identify these features. The layout, type of board, hinges down to the accessories will be determined by the kitchen user, you. Don’t finalize the plan if you were not thoroughly consulted. Do not fall for one-trick pony professionals who design spaces based on their taste and ends up making your space looks like a replica of his other projects. You need to get what you paid for. The perfect kitchen is a good investment.
